Hey hey hey, are you all ok? This post is really important for me, it is my hundredth, yeah! I actually cannot believe 1/ I am still writing this blog - I am notoriously bad at keeping diaries etc - and 2/ that people are actually following me. Thanks guys! Seriously I love reading your comments.
So I thought long and hard about my hundredth post. Really I have. I made notes all week, and I thought that it may be time for me to tell you a bit more about myself. There are a few things you know, I love knitting, crocheting, crafting in general, I love interior design, I am married to the one and only M, I live in the UK. So what else is there to say? Well, here is my HUNDRED word
H is for
Hercule Poirot and the little grey cells- I know way too much about him, considering that he does not really exist. He is my favourite character in books and on TV. And by the way David Suchet is the only possible Poirot. Now we are on the first letter and you already think I am sad, oh dear..
U is for
U2 -
One love, One life, When it's one need, In the night, One love, We get to share it, Leaves you baby if you, Don't care for it... I have a few favourite bands, but I have always (and will always) love U2. I suppose the songs remind me of loads of good and bad times (think teenage love and break-ups) and also going to my first concert (we queued for 3 hours) with my best friends, to see - considering my size - not a lot. But I did not care - I was so near Bono, I could touch him (no I couldn't)..
N is for
Nationality. I am French, like 100%, and I speak English, 80% of my time now - and it has actually become harder to write in French. I have lived in the UK on and off for 12 years. M is half French, half English - So that means that our future children will be 3/4 French but born in the UK, and probably speak more English than French - which is a bit messed up but will be fun.
D is for
Doctor - This is the title I use for work since I was awarded my PhD in European politics. To be fair I only did it for the title (when I discovered I did not want to be a Professor like my Dad), so I have no problem using it all the time. Always impresses people.
R is for
reading - I read a lot, I always have but now that I commute - nearly two hours every day so I can live in the countryside and work in the City, I am going through a lot of them. It is great, gives me a chance to chill before getting back home. I read mostly chick flicks and crime (think Agatha Christie...).
E is for
earrings - I have tons, and some are seriously big and dangly. My Mum did not want me to have my ears pierced before I was 16! I know! And when I did, because I am allergic to a few things, I got an infection, but it was the best thing ever (not the infection of course). The bigger, the better is what I say!
D is for
dogs - I have had three in my life. The first one, Baron, was a black Labrador who was quite big but was the sweetest dog ever, and allowed my brother and I to ride him all the time. Then came Iankee (aka bébé Iankee, named after our trip to Florida) - a golden Labrador who loved eating and sleeping, and was useless at defending the house - and Léonard (aka bébé Léo) - a rescued dog who had a tendency to become over excited and very jealous (if men touched the women in his life). I really really really, like really, want a dog, but we don't really have the space at home. But this is a topic always up for discussion in my household.
