I thought it would be fun to share some of my latest pins - pinterest is really so full of inspiration. This is a bit of a mix, I hope you will enjoy it

1. This cute DIY for putting away my current crochet projects - what do we reckon, 20 minutes max? 

2. I love that outfit. I really need a red polka dot top and green trousers - I should not work, but totally does. And that bag..  This is definitely on my sewing project for March (I am finally taking a course!!)

3. Thinking Easter Eggs au naturel...I think that would be a hit for Britain in our Kitchen. 

4. I am officially in love with Anthology27 on Etsy and any of the earrings.

Cari-Jane at Hybridhandmade started to publish her last 5 pins on pinterest. What a great idea! The only problem is that I do not go on pinterest as much as I used to (happened with facebook - I get bored really easily), but when I do go on the site I pin like crazy... So I am not sure I can do my last 5 pins, but I can certainly do my favourite 5 of today's pinning session.

1. Can we start getting excited about winter yet? Guys, if you thought (rightly) that I loved the Autumn, you have no idea what will hit you with Winter. It is my favourite season (and my birthday)... Love this cozy interior...


2. The Art of Upcyling...The only problem is that I have an idea, I find the material and ... that is it. We bought a couple of weeks ago a coffee bean bag and I need to turn it into cushion(s)... This is a gentle reminder of what it could look like..

3. Photography... I thought this was a beautiful shot, the colours, the sparkling.. Would make a great birthday card..

4. Mittens, embroidery and colour coordination. Not sure about the felted mitten effect but love the embroidery work on the light grey medium.

5. Stylin'it Blair style. I want a cape, I do, I do, I do. And this is great styling lesson out of Gossip Girl..

{BELTS - Buy it or Make it?} Noas' Libellule obsession

Hiya guys! Happy Wednesday! And welcome to the wonderful world of B.E.L.T.S... I looooveee belts, they can colour, style of an outfit, make a statement... So here is my selection!

1. Add a splash of colour with the Whistle plaited rope, Asos; 2. A bargain skinny belt totally on trend, F21; 3. Show you love for animal print with this Fausto Colato Cavallino Leopard Print belt, My Theresa; 4. I love that pretty Burberry Prorsum Leather Wrap Belt, My Theresa; 5. Or buy a cheaper version with this Leather Obi Belt, Asos; 6. or the Buckled Elastic Belt, F21, 7. Splash out on this Etro Wide woven cotton-blend belt, Net-a-Poter; 8. Summery J Crew knotted belt, Net-a-Porter; 9. My favourite is the Day Birger et Mikkelsen belt, DAY.

This is my pinterest styling inspiration... I love the rock chick look of this Stockholm style shot (first picture).

There are some gorgeous items out there. But I am very excited about the beautiful {Make it} projects I found.

Mary at Craft Buds has made this lovely Fabric Wrap Belt. Her tutorial makes it sound very easy, so go and check it out. I love the colour she chose, it looks great with that dress!

For a different look, but oh so so cute result, here is the 100layercake ruffled belt. It would look great for a wedding, and would add un-je-ne-sais-quoi to any bland dress.


Finally the must-have of this season (I counted 5 people wearing one during my 10 minute walk to work this morning) - the skinny bow belt. Sarah's tutorial is bang on trend, and gives you easy steps to make your own!

So what is your favourite? I must admit I love my belts to be quite wide.. I do like some ruffles though, it could totally change the look of some of plainer dresses... OOOOhhh so many possibilities!!

Noas' Libellule {Pinterest inspired}

Hello guys! Happy Wednesday! How is everyone?

As mentioned on numerous occasions, I went to see Harry Potter in 3 D last night. It was amazing. And I thought I should try to relate my {pinterest inspiration} to HP and here is the dress I really really really want to have, wear, could I sleep in it? It is a vintage Ossie Clark dress, worn by Emma at the HP premiere in 2009. It is just stunning. I love the colour scheme, the neck line and the fabric.

It was raining a lot that day, and the bottom of the dress has seen better days. But still, it is a really beautiful piece of clothing - and will be classy forever. So, how could I make it my own?

Well guys, my God fairy VOGUE came to the rescue, with a similar pattern that goes by the romantic name of V1030 (minus the ruffles!). I just need to find a pattern for the sleeves now... and seriously improved my sewing skills. I let you know how I get on..

Noas' Libellule {Pinterest inspired}

Hiya everyone! Hope you are all having a good week - full of creativity and inspiration! Don't forget that tomorrow I will be showing you how to make your very own pouch with lace. I am really excited about this project, and I hope you are too.

Today I want to tell you about my current texture obsession. It seems that everyone is obsessed, and I can see a great {buy it or make it} post coming up. May I present to you what I am dreaming about at the moment, the chevron pattern.

I know, it is a bit bold but it also can really make a strong impact. It's essentially a series of V's laid out in a row. It's a little bit wavy but with more of a hardened edge. I am one for clean lines - probably the scientific buried in me...

If you choose the right colors and placement for a Chevron design then you can evoke that wavy, undulating relaxed feeling that lies beneath this design. Of course, you could also choose to go all out with creating a bold look using this pattern - look at that quilt below! A statement or what!!

So what do you think? Are you missing some chevron in your life and your interior? I definitely do... I have an idea of what I want to make... just need the time - but it will complement quite well the texture and colour scheme of our living room.. Will say no more.

PS: You may notice that the original images are a bit different from the one I posted here, I am working on adding textures to my pictures... Only experimenting at this stage, but it is quite promising I reckon.

Hello hello! So how are you getting on with your IKAT project? Are you loving the pompom fork technique? You should try it, honestly it is all very easy.

You will remember a couple of weeks ago I made a post with my latest pinterest obsession: pouches with lace. It is all coming along nicely, more to come next week - in time for the next wedding I am attending (yes, another one!).

Well, thanks to Pinterest I am seriously obsessed with braided necklaces - I have in fact a board dedicated to braided object - and there are a couple in particular I am hoping to get, one way (shopping) or another (making it).

Homemade {Pinterest inspired - in progress}

Guys, I am dying to show you the-Thing-In-Progress-that-is-now-Finished but I haven't had a chance to give it to my friend yet, so I should really wait. It is all done, ready for her - and I really hope she likes it.

So I started my doily following a gorgeous pattern found on ravelry, and it was all going really well, until I ran out of cotton yarn. Noooo... I now have to wait patiently for more to come. I have been told it is on its way. Here are a few picturs of the progress - it is all glittery, and looks lovely. Cannot wait to show you the final result... Until then, I will look out for the postman and try not to scare him!
